The 9th term applications for PİLOT, implemented by Türk Telekom in cooperation with startups to offer innovative products and services, was opened on March 1. This year, the number of teams to be accepted into the PİLOT program increased to 20, while the cash support to be given to the startups was determined as 200 thousand TL. Applications can be made on the website www.turktelekompilot.com.tr. Selected teams will have access to the mentor network, major investors and business contacts of Türk Telekom throughout the program. The teams participating in the program will have the opportunity to cooperate with Türk Telekom and to receive investment from TT Ventures. The teams will also participate in various trainings during the program; besides receiving office space, technology infrastructure, mobile communication package and promotional support. Teams participating in the program from other cities will be able to benefit from the accommodation support. At the end of the program, teams selected from 20 startups will participate in Plug&Play’s 4-week USA program. Türk Telekom Strategy, Planning and Digital Deputy General Manager Barış Karakullukçu said that: “We have provided a total of over 5 million TL in cash support by Türk Telekom to 73 startups graduated from PİLOT. I would like to express that our graduate startups employed 850 people in 2020 and earned a turnover of 60 million TL. We would increase the number of startups to be accepted into the new period and the cash support we would offer them. We also added an overseas trip program to PİLOT.”
