Entrepreneurs and investors meet at BThaber Angels Platform
The results of the “Turkey’s Top 500 ICT Companies Research” conducted by M2S on behalf of BThaber will be announced on September 8th. While the ICT 500 ceremony was postponed to September 8th due to the forest fires in our country that hurt us, other events within the scope of the ICT 500 Week were held in digital environment. One of these events was the BThaber Angels – Investor Entrepreneur Meeting held on Friday, August 6th. In this event, where entrepreneurs and local and international investors came together, entrepreneurs made presentations and explained their companies, goals and strategies.
Tan Erten (Taximcapital), Tunya Irkat (Galata Business Angels), Murat Doğu (Doğan Holding), Gülsen Bardak (Vestel Ventures), Başak İlisulu (GirişimTürk), Ali Karabey (212), Murat İri (212), Emre Hacıyunus (212), Murat Avcı (Çukurova Yatırım Platformu), Osman Kale (Tr Angels), Yasemin Eda Erdal (Tr Angels), Fikret Baltaoğlu (Tr Angels), İbrahim Özer and many other experts attended the event.
BTHABER Corporate Group Murat Göçe made the following statements about the event and BThaber Angel platform: “We are happy to have conveyed the news of technology and economy of technology to many people in the country and abroad during this long period of 27 years. We are proud to inform our readers from every aspect, sometimes on the increase in the use of technology, sometimes on the recognition and growth of a brand.
Beyond just fulfilling a media task successfully, we have also done a lot of work for the development of our country and for our ICT sector to be stronger.
First of all, we gave 33 weeks of free marketing support to our three SME-level companies from our three platforms every year. Now we see that these companies have come to the place they deserve by taking investments. Likewise, with our Captains (Captains of Technology, Captains of Marketing) project, we help IT managers and promote their technologies.
We started our most important project, BThaber Angels, two years ago. The aim of this study was to help our companies that have low promotional power in our sector or that want to increase their power, but are also looking for investment. In this direction, we also asked the following questions to our companies participating in the ICT 500 research:
Do you need investment?
Would you like BThaber to help you in this matter?
We sent an invitation to the companies that answered ‘yes’ to both questions to register on BThaberAngels.com. By making our Turkish and foreign investor companies members of this platform at the same time, we introduced the entrepreneurs on the platform to them.
We also organized an event within the scope of ICT 500 Week, where entrepreneurs and investors meet. We enabled 17 entrepreneurs to make presentations to 11 investor companies one by one, using the ready-made presentation template. If there is a demand from investor companies after the successful and joyful event, we will also arrange a special meeting for them. This work will continue to grow every year.
As seen, our entire aim is to help both our industry and the country’s economy by supporting the valuable companies of our industry.”
Opinions about ICT 500…
Panelists participating in the “Information Economics Panel” organized within the scope of ICT 500 Week, expressed their views on the ICT 500 Research.
Oracle Turkey General Manage and Leena Region Vice President Zeynep Keskin:
“It is necessary to research, measure, evaluate and disseminate stories in order to bring them forward.”
“I am a good BThaber follower. Publications and events are very valuable for the development of our industry. It is valuable with its contribution to other sectors, other business models, economy and environment. Therefore, you provide invaluable services to both the industry and other industries and business models. The stories multiply as they are told. It is necessary to research, measure, evaluate and disseminate stories in order to bring them forward. This research is an opportunity to hear an important story, raise awareness and set an example. Let’s tell each other these stories, let’s be inspired by it so that they can multiply. Otherwise, we put on our blinders and believe that we exist in our own world. Therefore, on behalf of myself and my company, I would like to thank you for the value you add to our industry.”
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan General Manager Güngör Kaymak:
“Fields that belong to informatics are classified very accurately”
“Within BThaber, we have very valuable friends who have been serving the sector for a long time, know the sector and institutions very well, and make accurate news and correct comparisons. There are so many different and so many fields under informatics. Even under these areas, there are different areas. When we look at ICT 500, we see that they are classified very accurately. You create an environment for especially local companies operating in these fields where they can compare themselves with their competitors or the sector. This situation not only provides motivation for people and companies, but also helps them to make new plans and head towards new goals. I wish good luck to all our friends who contributed to these works.”
KoçSistem General Manager Mehmet Ali Akarca:
“ICT 500 has made talking with data a culture”
“BThaber has been fulfilling a very valuable mission for our country and our industry for a long time and with great devotion. ICT 500 highlighted the theme of entrepreneurship and success this year, and discussed an ever-increasing issue. We would like to see more promising entrepreneurial values in terms of Turkey’s future and development on such platforms. The most important contribution of ICT 500 to our industry and our society is that it makes talking with data a culture. Therefore, I congratulate everyone who contributed to the research and provided information. I would also like to thank the entire BThaber Group for carrying out this project with the same seriousness for many years. It is truly the most important reference in the industry for us. I also know that many companies use ICT 500 as a reference point in their investor interviews or corporate reporting.”
