‘1 Million Employment Project’ registration for candidate and employer companies is unconditional and free of charge
Turkey’s first and only training and employment platform in the field of Information Technologies, the ‘1 Million Employment Project’ has left almost 2 years behind. The Program Manager of the 1 Million Employment Project, General Directorate of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Emre Alıç shared the developments regarding the project with BThaber.
Emre Alıç, who started his speech by saying that the number of applications for the ‘1 Million Employment Project’ has exceeded 871 thousand, said that: “The number of applicants who use the system actively after their identity has been verified is more than 715 thousand. The number of people who filled out resumes exceeded 360 thousand”. Alıç drew attention to the following points: “Moreover, the number of people who started to receive training at our education portal ‘BTK Academy’ reached 820.361. We would like to share with you that 90 job postings have been published in our system with our 100 employers, more than 3,700 applications to these postings and that our employers have reviewed more than 4,900 resumes.”
The aim is to enrich the project training content with the General Directorate of National Technology
Emre Alıç pointed out that cooperation protocols were signed with relevant public institutions in order to develop and disseminate the studies within the scope of the project, and noted: “Within the framework of the protocol with the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Measurement, Evaluation and Examination Services to establish a measurement and evaluation system, the study is aimed to be completed by the end of the year. At the end of this study, the exam grades of the candidates will be reflected on their resumes for evaluation. Working with the Vocational Qualifications Authority to ensure compliance of positions with the relevant legislation and to direct candidates to VQA certification exams. At the end of this, the candidates with VQA Certificate will be able to see this information on their resumes. Within the scope of the protocol with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, General Directorate of National Technology to enrich the training content of the project and disseminate the project studies, it is aimed to physically support the training and implementation studies. With the protocol of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, General Directorate of Youth Services and the dissemination of project studies, it is aimed to support the physical provision of training and implementation activities in Youth Centers and relevant facilities of the Ministry.”
We continue to explain our project to university students
Alıç stated that: “We received approximately 2,000 applications for the ‘Hiring Challenge’ process we carried out with AKBANK, and the AKBANK interview process of the candidates who were successful in the competition exam continues. We are looking forward to sharing the number of people employed at the end of this process with you and the public. We participated in the ‘Talent is Everywhere Career Fairs’ across Turkey, which were held regionally in 12 cities under the coordination of the Presidential Human Resources Office, and we continue to explain our project to university students. In addition, as part of the State Incentive Promotion Days under the coordination of the Presidency of Communications, we will participate in 13 exhibitions to be held throughout the country throughout the year, and we will explain our project to our citizens and employer candidates.
