A significant step for digital awareness…
Communication President Prof. Fahrettin Altun called for ‘digital awareness’ in a post on his Twitter account.
Sharing with #DijitalFarkındalık, Fahrettin Altun posted information cards on ‘the use of social media in Turkey and all around the world’, ‘digital awareness and cyber country’, ‘digital citizens’, ‘digital diplomacy’, ‘digital perception management’, ‘cyber security’ and ‘artificial intelligence’ issues. Fahrettin Altun said that: “We are adding our cyber borders to our land, sea and air borders in today’s world where technology is present in every area of our lives and where individual and corporate communication networks are maintained through digital channels. We introduce the digital world to our citizens. We say that the digital world is bigger than 5. It is in our hands to change the content and direction of the international game in the digital world. We are responsible for the legal, conscientious and humanitarian aspects of our sharing in digital channels. We are also ‘real’ even in the digital world.”
Remember that we all have fingerprints in the digital world!
Altun continued as: “Today, diplomacy channels and state rules are changing rapidly. State-citizen and state-state relations are also digitalizing in the changing world. The Age of Digital Diplomacy! Unfortunately, not everything is as it seems in the digital world. The digital world is a world where facts can be easily eroded and changed. We must be careful to reach the truth. All of us are concerned about personal data and privacy in the digital world. We should remember that we all have fingerprints in the digital world. As we strengthen our position in the digital world, we have to follow the technology closely. The technology of today and the future is Artificial Intelligence.”
Fahrettin Altun stated that everyone can benefit from the Social Media User Guide prepared by the Communication Department for the protection of minds against perception operations and security of personal data in the digital world: https://www.iletisim.gov.tr/uploads/docs/SosyalMedyaKullanimKilavuzu.pdf
