Aktif Bank, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Corporation joined forces
Aktif Bank, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Corporation formed a partnership, aiming at cyber security and new technologies including biometric authentication solutions being used in Turkey and in the region in the coming period. The partnership will expand the use of Hitachi’s existing solutions in the field of biometric recognition and authentication technologies, crypto signing and cyber security solutions, as well as exclusivity of Hitachi’s VeinID-Five technology, which will be launched in the near future. Thanks to VeinID-Five, which does not need any special equipment and reads the vein traces of the person through the camera of devices such as computers and mobile phones; the steps of logging into Windows systems, remembering, renewing and changing password become easier. VeinID-Five technology, where it is sufficient to simply wave a hand to the camera of computers and mobile phones, surpasses security steps such as password, SMS message, answering questions about the bank card for verification. Solutions based on VeinID-Five technology, which do not require physical contact, will be available for Windows10, iOS and Android devices in a short time.
Stating that they started to use VeinID-Five technology within the company in the first place, Aktif Bank General Manager Serdar Sümer said that: “Steps of entry and approval processes can now be carried out more easily and with high security with VeinID-Five technology. With the platform we target, we will meet the identity verification requirements during remote customer acquisition and management in main sectors such as e-commerce, transportation, health and the financial sector.”
