İş Bank and Koç University establish “Artificial Intelligence Application and Research Center”. The center aims to contribute to scientific and academic activities and to carry out advanced studies in the field of artificial intelligence. İş Bank General Manager Adnan Bali said that: “Today’s world is built on digitalization, coding, artificial intelligence and robotic industries and the success of countries in science, education is directly proportional to how much they care about these issues. Turkey must be in this league and must be among the leading countries in technology. We see this center as an investment to the future of Turkey and our greatest hope that it will take our country to a much higher level at the international arena in scientific studies and enable us to have a say in the scientific literature in this field.” Koç University Rector Prof. Umran İnan expressed that: “In this century, where we talked about the great importance of multi-disciplinary studies and research, it is certain that artificial intelligence, which enables the computer to think like people, will direct the future, strengthen transitions, collaborations and partnerships.
Koç University İş Bank Artificial Intelligence Application and Research Center aims to contribute to scientific and academic activities and to carry out advanced studies in the field of artificial intelligence. The center, which will eliminate the deficiencies in the field of expertise, hardware and data in the field of artificial intelligence, is expected to operate both in İş Towers and Koç University campus to strengthen university-business world interaction. Faculty members of computer, electrical and electronic engineering departments as well as doctoral and graduate students will be working in the center established under the roof of Koç University Engineering Faculty. The center will train experts in industry and academia with Koç University faculty members and carry out studies to solve business problems. The expert staff at the center will provide data analysis and consultancy services; will organize graduate, doctorate and post-doctoral programs in the field of data science and certificate programs for industry and academia. Artificial Intelligence Industry Support Board will be established within the center to contribute to university-industry cooperation.
