Automotive entrepreneurs expand to the world
The development of innovative technologies also increases the competition in the automotive sector. The cooperation between İTÜ ARI Teknokent and the Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association (OİB) also supports startups in different fields, from driving safety to battery management, from software solutions to material technologies, from autonomous vehicles to micro-mobility. While the total turnover generated by the startups that have received support has reached 106 million TL, employment opportunities have been provided to more than 750 people. Automotive technology entrepreneurs, who made it to the finals by applying to the Automotive Program in 2021, will meet with the public on the Big Bang Startup Challenge stage on December 2. In addition to many awards at the Big Bang, these startups will be provided with an additional resource of 600 thousand TL, which is reserved for automotive and mobility initiatives by OİB. Thanks to the cooperation of İTÜ ARI Teknokent and OİB, entrepreneurs get the chance to expand to the world from Turkey, and enable Turkish technologies to take place in the global automotive sector. Entrepreneurs receiving the support of OİB and İTÜ ARI Teknokent; in addition to benefiting from opportunities such as mentoring from İTÜ Çekirdek, one-on-one coaching, training, R&D support, investor meetings, has the right to participate in the “Future of Automotive Design Contest”, and also has the opportunity to participate in the Big Bang Startup Challenge.
