Bulutistan will increase its foreign investments
Cloud service provider Bulutistan was accepted to the Turcorn 100 Program, which was launched to increase the number of domestic startups with a total valuation exceeding 1 billion USD. Bulutistan was among the first 15 candidates accepted to the Turcorn 100 Program, announced by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, to which 72 companies applied.
Bulutistan CEO Begim Başlıgil pointed out that they applied immediately after the program was announced and that many criteria were taken into consideration during the application, from the company’s financials to its corporate maturity, from its organizational model to its processes, from its product to its target markets and customer potential. Emphasizing the goal of becoming one of Turkey’s unicorn startups, Begim Başlıgil said: “Being accepted to the Turcorn 100 program has shown that this goal is not far away. We believe that we will reach our goal much faster with the advantages provided by the Turcorn 100 program.”
Başlıgil pointed out that the Ministry of Industry and Technology implemented the Turcorn 100 Program in order to bring new Turcorns to the Turkish technology entrepreneurship ecosystem and continued as follows:
“With what this program provides, we will carry out more effective work in foreign markets. Bulutistan will now be a much stronger company, able to reach much larger markets with the support of the ministry. Our growth and structuring in target markets will be much easier and will be achieved by meeting high success criteria. Turcorn 100 is very valuable for us not only as a government support but also as a certification of our success.”
Special processes will be implemented in the public support to be given to Turcorn 100 Program initiatives, from R&D and innovation to marketing and commercialization. Venture capital investment opportunities tailored to the needs of startups in the scaling phase will be provided exclusively to Turcorn 100 Program members. With the Global Competitiveness Program to be carried out by KOSGEB, 50 million TL financial support will be given to Turcorn candidates.
