e-Health Project is being implemented in TRNC
Within the scope of the TRNC e-Government studies under the integratorship of Türksat; the e-Health Project is also being launched. The kick-off meeting for the e-Health Project, which aims to transition the TRNC to an easier, faster and higher quality digital health infrastructure was held on August 10th.
The TRNC e-Government Program, which is one of the exemplary digital transformation projects in which the e-Government infrastructure of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is designed from start to finish, continues under the integratorship of Türksat. The project kick-off meeting was held within the scope of the e-Health Project, which aims to transition the TRNC to an easier, faster and higher quality digital health infrastructure. Turkish Republic Nicosia Embassy Development and Economic Cooperation (KEİ) Office Coordinator Ömer Cihan, TRNC e-Government Executive Board Chairperson and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport Suat Yeldener, Presidency Digital Transformation Office and Türksat project team attended the meeting chaired by TRNC Ministry of Health Undersecretary Assoc. Dr. Düriye Deren Oygar. At the meeting, a presentation was made about the goals and objectives of the e-Health project and the roadmap.
‘Health Information System’ tender completed
TRNC e-Government Executive Board Chairperson and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport Suat Yeldener pointed out that the tender for the ‘Health Information System’ has been completed and the first meeting has been held for the realization of the project, and said: “It is a very big, very important project, we look forward to its conclusion as soon as possible.” TRNC Ministry of Health Undersecretary Oygar underlined the importance of data in health and emphasized the gains to be achieved by the implementation of the project. KEİ Office Coordinator Cihan stated that the Republic of Turkey is always with the TRNC and provides every support in every field, and said that the e-TRNC program is one of the most important studies carried out. Cihan noted that Vice President Fuat Oktay’s instructions were included in the e-Government studies in the TRNC, and that in this direction, very important works have been completed with the Presidency Digital Transformation Office and Türksat, and he believes that the ongoing works will be implemented faster than the foreseen time.
