EBA is renewed for ‘Justice of Opportunity in Education’
Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk shared detailed information about the content of the completely renewed EBA in the presentation held in Ankara on February 10th, at the ‘Renewed Education Informatics Network (EBA) and EBA Academic Support Promotion Program’. Within the framework of Educational Vision 2023, with the ‘Turkey’s Digital Education Platform’ slogan, EBA has been renewed and the aimed is to ensure a significant contribution to the justice of opportunity in education.
The contents of the EBA, which was completely renewed within the framework of “Justice of Opportunity in Education”; have been updated with interactive school books, lecture videos, quizzes and applications. EBA, which is the product of a long term study, responds to many needs of students and teachers. With its modern, simple user interface and smart features, the new EBA has been accessible by parents of approximately 18 million students and 1 million teachers. The new EBA offers more than 1,600 courses and over 20,000 rich, reliable and interactive content that accompany the learning journey of students and teachers from pre-school to 12th grade. Emphasizing that EBA is a great opportunity to ensure justice in educational opportunities; Ziya Selçuk expressed that: “Today we are here to answer the question of ‘How do we reach all our children across Turkey?’. EBA, when used properly, is the greatest assistant of the teacher, like a teacher supporting students out of school. Students and teachers from all over Turkey can benefit from the content by logging in to the EBA. We had a goal to move education out of the classroom. EBA serves this purpose. We had an earthquake in Elazığ and our students could not start school due to security measures. However, they continued their education through EBA. They repeated what they learned over the EBA, worked on future course chapters.”
