Employment rate of women in informatics should increase!
SabancıDx implements the Faces of the Future project in cooperation with the Women in Technology Association (Wtech). With the project, where 100 women will receive training in the field of cyber security and analytics, it is aimed to increase the participation of women in the technology sector and increase the rate of female employees in the sector. The training program will be open to the participation of women between the ages of 20 and 30 in Turkey, who have the appropriate educational background. Participants, who will be selected as a result of the applications, who are at the beginning of their careers and who want to continue their career in the field of cyber security and analytics, will be entitled to receive their internationally valid certificates by taking a total of 40 hours of training for two months in classes of 20 students. At the end of the trainings that will be spread throughout the year, the necessary studies will continue for the transformation of the project into employment. SabancıDx Sales and Marketing Assistant General Manager Özlem Kalkan stated that: “There are only 245 thousand technology workers among approximately 30 million employments in Turkey, only 9.91% of them are women. We started this project to create opportunities for young women who have goals in the field of analytics and cyber security for the future, which lies in the shadow of new generation technologies, and to contribute to this need.”
Wtech Founding Chairperson Zehra Öney expressed that: “The sustainability of our project is important for meeting the expert human resources needed by our country.” SabancıDx Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager Gökçe Kaya added that: “We need to respond to the interest of our country’s women in technology and their valuable potential by creating opportunities, and work to empower them. With this project, we have taken a step towards fulfilling our responsibility towards the future.”
