Fintech Cluster is being established
Fintech companies coming together under the leadership of İTÜ ARI Teknokent, are establishing a Fintech Cluster, which is a first in Turkey. Fintech Cluster, which aims to create an environment for the discovery of new technological solutions and internationalization by contributing to the growth of the regional economy, includes the relevant units of public institutions, external stakeholder capital companies that are not in the technocity region, relevant faculties of universities, foundations and entrepreneurs, was constructed with a wide-range model to solve the problems of the sector.
İTÜ ARI Teknokent General Manager Prof. Dr. Attila Dikbaş stated that, unlike the known TTO structures in Turkey, ARI TTO, which is not affiliated with any university and was established with the technocity department model instead of a legal entity structure, played an active role in the establishment of the Fintech Cluster and added:
“With the Fintech Cluster, we aim to create a structure that will enable our regional companies, other technology companies and various public institutions to work in cooperation and coordination in the fintech vertical. This structure aims to share the best practices in the sector, produce projects together, develop solutions for common problems and create collaboration. İTÜ ARI Teknokent Fintech Cluster has included in its business plan to expand the workforce and talent pool in the field of fintech, increase investments and strengthen the fintech ecosystem of the region. The cluster structure will create an important platform for identifying and solving common problems in the sector.”
İTÜ ARI Teknokent Fintech Cluster aims to continue to support the transformation in the sector by following national and international grant and incentive programs. At the national level, while closely monitoring the Clustering Supports of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the UR-GE (Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness) support of the Ministry of Commerce and the supports of Development Agencies; in the international arena, applying for European Union project supports and World Bank supports are among the targets.
