First agreement for Turksat 5B
Participating in the world’s largest satellite exhibition Satellite 2021 held in Washington DC, the capital of the USA, Türksat signed its first agreement for Türksat 5B, which is planned to be sent to space at the end of this year. With the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Türksat and Inmarsat, Inmarsat GX services will be provided in Turkey over the Türksat 5B satellite.
Türksat took its place at the exhibition with its nationally produced SOTM (Satcom On The Move) antennas, HidrON and TerrON, in addition to its fleet of 2 satellites to be launched soon and 4 GEO satellites. The first agreement was made for Türksat 5B, which is planned to be sent to space at the end of this year.
With the strategic cooperation agreement between Türksat and Inmarsat, Inmarsat GX services and infrastructure will be provided in Turkey via Türksat 5B satellite. With the previously signed strategic cooperation agreement between companies, Inmarsat global services can be offered to customers by Türksat as Tier 1, and with this new cooperation solution, Inmarsat GX services in our country will be provided by Türksat 5B satellites and an infrastructure in Turkey.
