Flight-missing risk is eliminated
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure reported that the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) Flight Guide application, which is passenger and user friendly with its modern infrastructure and useful interface, has been continuously developed to meet the travel and communication needs of passengers. It was informed that the application developed by DHMİ was started to be used on approximately 44 thousand devices in 3 months, approximately 50 thousand people have tracked their flights through the Flight Guide, 6 thousand people have benefited from free internet service and 1,300 people have carried out HES Code inquiries. In November 2020, two new features were added to the Flight Guide application, while the web service and HES code inquiry service received from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Shoot-Send service, through which citizens can convey their opinions and suggestions about airports, has been launched. Reminding that citizens can benefit from free internet up to 2 gigabytes offered via the mobile application at the airports, the Ministry emphasized that thanks to the instant notifications to be sent, passengers will not be missing flights.
The Ministry stated that in the first half of this year, it is planned to provide internal navigation service over the floor plans for all airports and to activate the Instant Flight Tracking (Flight Radar) application. With Flight Guide, which was put into use in October 2020, users can access flight information by sending a message to the DHMİ Flight Information System on Facebook Messenger, a mention to the @dhmiucusbilgi account on Twitter and the DHMİ Flight Information System Application via Turkcell Bip.
