İYS is launched at the e-Government Gateway!
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Trade, with the “Commercial Electronic Message Management System” (İYS), consumers will be able to see, control and reject all commercial electronic message approvals they have given from a single point.
“Commercial Electronic Message Management System” was created in order to eliminate the inconvenience of consumers regarding commercial electronic messages such as SMS, e-mail and voice calls. The aim of this system is to prevent unauthorized commercial electronic messages from being sent to consumers and to reduce unwanted message traffic. With the İYS, consumers will be able to see, control and reject all commercial electronic message approvals from a single point. The deadline for service providers with over 150 thousand commercial electronic message approvals to upload their current approvals to the İYS expired on December 31, 2020. Citizens will be able to check their approvals on commercial electronic messages via e-Government or www.iys.org.tr and change their approval preferences until February 16, 2021. The deadline given to service providers with 150 thousand or less commercial electronic message approvals to upload their current approvals to the İYS will expire on May 31, 2021. Consumers will be able to check the approvals between June 1, 2021 and July 16, 2021. If the right of refusal is not used by the citizens within the specified periods, the data transferred to the İYS by the service providers will be deemed approved. The periods in question are related to the control of existing approvals, and after these dates, consumers will be able to change their commercial electronic message preferences over the İYS at any time.
