Overview of the route in Turkey
SAP Turkey published a report on its contribution to the sustainable development and digitalization of our country. In the “Economic and Social Contributions Report”, SAP brought together the employment created with its local ecosystem, trade volume and software exports, corporate collaborations, social responsibility activities and the added value that digital transformation projects provide to institutions. Saying that the focus of their activities in Turkey is the consciousness of being a “good corporate citizen”, SAP Turkey Public Relations Director Dr. Onur Yıldırım expressed that:
“We are members of leading institutions such as the German Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Turkey), YASED, TÜSİAD and TÜBİSAD, and we take active roles in 33 different working groups in these institutions. We are also among the sponsor members of the Turkish Open Source Platform. With the SAP Young Professionals Program, launched in 2018, we equip young graduates with digital talents, provide the chance to obtain internationally valid certificates and create employment opportunities in our ecosystem. To date, we have organized 6 programs in cooperation with institutions such as Turkish Red Crescent, METU Information and Innovation Center, Gaziantep Chamber of Industry and Aegean Industrialists and Business People Association and Turkish Metal Industrialists Union (MESS). Almost all of the 150 young people who graduated from the programs were employed by our customers and business partners with the title of SAP Consultant.”
