Smart cities are at the center of collaboration
Turkcell Digital Business Services (Turkcell DBS) and Kazakh Telecom’s subsidiary Kcell, which continue their efforts for the spread of digitalization and smart cities, signed a new protocol for cooperation on smart cities and IoT. In this context, Turkcell DBS will be able to develop its technological know-how and IoT solutions with foreign business partners and present them to different markets. Thanks to this agreement, Turkcell and Kcell will be able to carry out joint projects in overseas corporate markets where Turkcell solutions are used. Within the scope of the protocol signed with a ceremony attended by Turkcell Digital Business Services General Manager Kaan Turan and Kcell CEO Yuri Kharlamov, concrete cooperation opportunities in the field of smart cities and the internet of things will be evaluated.
It is aimed to initiate negotiations on possible collaborations of companies for smart cities and IoT projects, and in this context, mutual knowledge and solution sharing of the parties on smart cities and IoT issues. Turkcell Digital Business Services General Manager Kaan Turan said that: “The focus of our cooperation with Kcell is solutions for both smart cities and the internet of things. We will deepen the cooperation in project opportunities in key areas such as transportation, energy, environment, security, health and life, and achieve domestic achievements. We aim to use our experience in global markets.” Kcell CEO Yuri Kharlamov said that: “We are creating functional ecosystems that will improve the lives of millions of urban residents in healthcare, retail and industry with new technologies such as the Internet of Things, 5G and big data. Thanks to the cooperation with Turkcell, we are creating larger-scale projects. We will be able to implement it.”
