Tarnet continues to contribute to digitalization in agriculture with ATS
Tarnet Agricultural Technologies and R&D Team continues to work on the domestic and national ATS (Smart Tractor System) product. In the ‘Manual Steering System’, tractors are getting smart with smart sensors and positioning components. Tarnet ATS, having a significant role in projects in the field of agriculture in Turkey, aiming at providing agricultural technology to our farmers with low costs, will be the first with the feature of using local software, local interface and local components and will increase productivity in agricultural lands.
Precision Agriculture is an agricultural system based on integrated information in order to protect the environment, to make sustainable production, to increase efficiency and profitability, and to apply variable-rate input applications according to the structure of the land. Today, robotic and autonomous technologies are adapted to agricultural machines and presented to the use of farmers in order to carry out more precise and accurate agricultural operations under this topic. The aim of these studies is to reduce the workforce by minimizing human-induced errors, as well as to reduce input costs, to obtain quality products and high efficiency. Tarnet ATS will provide farmers with the capacity to process the field from row to row without error. In the “Manual” option, the farmers will transmit centimeter-accurate deviations in the route as a warning from the screen that will be integrated on any tractor as an additional component. Thus, it will allow the operator to steer the steering wheel ‘manually’ and reenter its route. In the automatic option; the steering wheel will recognize these steering commands without the need for the driver and will perform field activities. Thus, Tarnet will make the tractors smart with local means and increase the competencies of the farmers.
All farmers who can use smart phones will be able to benefit from Tarnet’s high technology
According to the statement made by Tarnet officials, farmers who want to reach this technology will be able to use the system without incurring the cost of a new tractor, especially thanks to the “manual” option, which can be easily mounted on all tractors in a plug-and-play way. In addition to the ease of installation, it was noted that with the mobile application with a simple interface designed by Tarnet, it is aimed that all farmers who can use smartphones benefit from this high technology. In addition, the benefits of the system may vary depending on the size of the land used and the power of the tractors. The advantages of the ‘Smart Tractor System’ are: Even if the land variability is intense, smoother soil cultivation can be done. In the transplantation process, the highest desired benefit can be obtained in inter-row and over-row distances. Especially in spraying and fertilizing applications, overlapping, collisions and gap failures can be minimized. Workload and stress on drivers can be reduced. Time and fuel can be saved. It is easy and simple to install and use.
