The drone market growth will not slow down
While the use of drones for both leisure and commercial purposes has become widespread in recent years, it is expected that the growth in this field in Turkey will continue in 2022.
Dronmarket General Manager Serhan Yaldız underlined that the drone market is one of the areas that gained the most momentum both in our country and in the whole world in parallel with the rapidly developing technology. He expressed his expectation that the drone market in Turkey will grow by 25% in 2022 to reach the level of 45-50 million USD. Reminding that there is an ongoing License and Regulation process with the Ministry of Agriculture, Yaldız said: “Sales are greatly affected by this situation. If we can reach an agreement on this with the ministry in the first quarter of 2022, we aim to grow by 50% in the agricultural sector.”
Emphasizing that the 25% growth of the drone market in Turkey in 2022 will offer a serious employment opportunity, Yaldız said that: “We have given İHA (UAV) pilot training to hundreds of people and institutions. In 2021, we wanted to gather this in a single center. After our long studies, we launched Dron Academy, our first MEB-approved UAV pilot training center in İstanbul. Especially engineers, real estate agents, entrepreneurs in the field of logistics and agriculture, CEOs and students are among those who want to receive this training. Our goal is to be able to train a thousand people on an annual basis and to be more active on the corporate side.”
