Turkcell launched its international VoLTE service

Adding a new one to its international services in mobile communication, Turkcell has started to provide VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) roaming experience to its customers roaming abroad from the mobile operator AT&T’s network in the USA. Thus, Turkcell became the first operator in Turkey to open the VoLTE service abroad, which provides high-quality communication.

Turkcell Deputy General Manager of Network Technologies Gediz Sezgin said that: “We made this service ready in a short time and made it available for use in the USA via the powerful mobile operator AT&T network. Thus, we continued our sectoral leadership with a new international service. We continue to make VoLTE roaming collaborations with operators in different countries so that our customers, who only receive service from the 4.5G network abroad, can provide uninterrupted and higher quality calls.”

No extra activation is required for Turkcell customers to benefit from the VoLTE roaming service in the USA. Turkcell customers, who are open to calls and data-internet use abroad, have HD voice subscription, whose device also supports VOLTE roaming, and who can get service from the contracted operator AT&T, can directly benefit from this service.
