Turkey’s digitalization rating is 3.24 out of 5
According to the “Turkey’s Digital Transformation Index 2021 Report” prepared by the Informatics Industry Association (TÜBİSAD), Turkey’s digitalization score increased from 3.03 to 3.24 since last year. While it was stated in the report that Turkey’s digitalization rate increased slightly compared to last year, it also included the measures to be taken for a positive leap.
The report, which was created by analyzing the data obtained from 139 countries and the surveys filled in by the members of the business world, reveals Turkey’s digitalization performance in 10 different dimensions and 4 main components: transformation, ecosystem, adequacy and usage. According to the “Turkey’s Digital Transformation Index 2021 Report”, Turkey’s 2021 digital transformation index was measured as 3.24 out of 5 and maintained its upward trend in the last two years.
Stating that Turkey’s Digital Transformation Index 2021 Report is a key indicator in terms of measuring Turkey’s digitalization performance, TÜBİSAD Chairperson of the Board Levent Kızıltan makes the following statement: “The data shows that digital transformation has increased slightly in 2021 compared to last year. It is a pleasing development that the rate of transformation has increased in our country in the face of the acceleration of digital transformation all over the world with the pandemic. However, it is obvious that our country needs a much higher leap, considering its potential and targets. In order for us to make this leap, first of all, it is necessary to develop a qualified workforce, strengthen our national vision for information and communication technologies, develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem and accelerate infrastructure investments. As TÜBİSAD, we will be a supporter and follower of all the steps to be taken in these four development areas.”
